The successful applicant will have a total of 5-7 years’ work experience in Communications, with at least 4 years’ in a similar capacity. Experience working for an agency, private sector company, or a management/development consultancy firm is an added advantage.


MicroSave is looking to hire a driven, enthusiastic and results oriented individual into the capacity of Assistant Manager-Communications to join its team in Kenya.

The candidate selected will be required to have the ability, experience and knowledge to perform the following key functions at a minimum:

  • Develop and implement a communications strategy in collaboration with the relevant domains
  •  Increasing the level strategy awareness and alignment among st staff on communication outputs & internal communication
  • Communications planning, tools and channel identification and market analysis and offering advisory services to the concerned parties
  • Handling publications and thought leadership uptake though blogs, pictures, written publications as suitable in different markets
  • Managing the MicroSave brand within Africa for all domains and overseeing the relevant activities outlined under this.
  • Provide support services in various marketing and customer relationship management activities
  • Leading media relations for all MicroSave Africa domains i.e. press releases, press interviews etc.
  • Events organization and management
  • Responsible for the efficiency and management of social media and digital channels of marketing and communication.
  • Attending to public inquiries and correspondence with the external public

  • Energy, passion, enthusiasm and creativity
  • Strong demonstratable achievements in their career as a communications professional 
  • Self driven individual with a keen eye for detail
  • Well internal communication process
  • Highly adept to the creation and streamlining of internal and external communication process
  • Knowledge of Africa digital financial service  markets, government regulatory environment and policy context
  • Highly articulate with strong presentation skills
  • Strong publication writing and research skills
  • Experience and exposure to B2B marketing techniques using digital marketing tools
  • Fluency in English and French (written & spoken)

Education: Relevant Business degree in Communications/Marketing/Public Relations
